Intact Technology is looking for an AppDynamics Engineer who will operate on a team responsible for delivering Application Performance Management and Monitoring Tools. The candidate will be responsible for: 

• AppDynamics product engineering and configuration to meet requirements and enhance observability. 
• Supporting the design of deployment architecture that is scalable, resilient; and cost-effective. 

• Providing customers with guidelines and best practices for adoption and usage. 

This position will be primarily remote. Travel may be required up to 25%.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Engineer solutions and establish standards for AppDynamics functional components and specifically agent deployments, including optimizations and application tuning and instrumentation per requirements, as well as troubleshooting of agent issues and configuration of health rules, policies, and actions. 
• Adopt AppDynamics for usage on-premise with familiarity of Cloud IaaS and PaaS models. 

• Architect a highly available and scalable Controller infrastructure with appropriate monitoring and alerting mechanisms. 

• Designing, deploying, and maintaining AppDynamics integration/instrumentation with containerization platforms (e.g., OpenShift, EKS) 
• Troubleshooting different AppDynamics components (e.g., High Availability Controllers, Events Service clusters) 

• AppDynamics command line 
• AppDynamics API 
• Java and node.js web applications and frameworks. 

• Seek opportunities for integration of AppDynamics with other monitoring tools in the Client portfolio. 
• Test and implement AppDynamics Monitoring Extensions appropriate for Client’s technology stack (e.g. Webservers; Messaging Tiers; database connections; infrastructure monitoring, etc.). 
• Test and implement AppDynamics Database Agents.

Required Qualifications: 

• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience. 
• Minimum 3 years of relevant AppDynamics experience, including experience deploying AppDynamics for mission critical applications. 
• Strong AppDynamics product knowledge, internals, and product REST API. 

• Ability to develop AppDynamics Monitoring Extensions 
• Exposure to full application lifecycle development including coding; testing; deployment; and post-implementation activities. 
• Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills 

Desired Skills: 

• Strong technical skill sets in PowerShell, Java and Linux shell scripting as a developer in Java, .Net, or similar coding languages. 
• Exposure to Cloud environments such as AWS and Azure 
• Exposure to Middleware components such as Web server, AppServer, Messaging, Integration
