Appellate Hearing Representative - Remote (any US location)
Job Description
As a Hearing Representative, you will be providing representation for employer clients during unemployment compensation hearings. The Hearing Representative is essential to ensuring excellent customer service is provided to our clients. The Hearing Representative is responsible for analyzing individual case information by reviewing data accessed through the PC, document images, and client witness discussions.
As part of the Appellate Division, you will be responsible for preparing our clients and their witnesses to attend unemployment compensation appeal hearings and advocating on their behalf. This is a client-facing and deadline-driven role which requires you to remain up to date and knowledgeable about state-specific laws and statutes regarding UI benefits.

What you'll do
- Analyze individual case information by reviewing data accessed through the PC, document images and through discussions with client witnesses
- Determine and discuss strengths and weaknesses of individual unemployment compensation cases with client witnesses
- Analyze how known and new facts as well as documentation may impact a case and be able to act on the information during the hearing process via direct and cross-examination, entering exhibits, raising objections, etc.
- Prepare client witnesses for the unemployment hearing proceedings
- Represent clients in unemployment hearings via phone or in-person as required
What experience you need
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college preferred
- Preferred two years of unemployment or administrative hearings experience

- Attorney or J.D., legal education, or paralegal is preferred
