About This Role
IntelliDyne is looking for an Architect to scale IntelliDyne's technical solutions and enable Appian’s delivery teams. In this role, not only do you become an expert at scaling process applications on our software, but also become business process experts in the various industries of our clients. The ideal candidate will combine excellent technical, product, and business skills to make our customers and partners successful.
Work Location: Remote - Must be local to one of the following: Falls Church, VA; San Antonio, TX; Tacoma, WA
Clearance: U.S. CitizenshipÂ
Status:Â This is a TEMPORARY position
Responsibilities:
- Expert practitioner in software design with at least 5 years of hands-on technical experience and ideally, you’re familiar with business process management in a consulting environment.
- Experience with configuration, deployment, and testing of enterprise software applications in particular subject to agile delivery methodologies.
- Passionate about technology, excited by tough challenges, and are a natural problem solver
- Demonstrated past breakout success with enterprise software systems design and implementation.
- Experience in client-facing situations and have had previous success presenting complex technical concepts & designs to a variety of audiences
- Innate understanding of the federal procurement process and not a stranger to RFPs, RFIs, etc.
- Work directly with project stakeholders throughout the entire lifecycle of multiple projects to define, design, implement, and review solutions.
- Work with teams to identify and remediate technical risks early in the application development lifecycle.
- Collect and review technical challenges with a team of architects and distill into common best practices and common solutions.
- Design and review complex solutions with Appian software and remove technical impediments.
- Contribute directly to the product feedback loop based on design patterns, field feedback, implementation challenges, and product features needed by Appian clients.
- Work with clients on all aspects of their program to drive technical success and efficiency, including version control, configuration management, and other DevOps practices.
- Guide client enterprise architecture teams as needed during the design and implementation of scalable solutions.
- Empower clients to become self-sufficient with building process applications on their own.
- Gather and analyze business requirements with stakeholders and define the technical architecture of Appian-based solutions.
- Develop technical designs and specifications for Appian applications.
- Configure Appian components such as process models, user interfaces, rules, and integrations.
- Develop custom Appian plug-ins using Java and other programming languages.
- Ensure compliance with Appian development best practices and standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Appian solutions with other enterprise systems.
- Perform code reviews and ensure code quality and consistency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Appian applications.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Appian features and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Active Appian Lead Certification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in software development with at least 3 years of experience in Appian development
- Strong understanding of BPM concepts and methodologies
- Experience in designing and implementing complex Appian-based solutions
- Proficiency in Appian's core capabilities such as process models, rules, integrations, and user interfaces
- Strong understanding of relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server
- Experience implementing Cloud, On-Premises, and Hybrid platform deployments
- Experience in network infrastructure concepts and troubleshooting techniques
- RDBMS (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
- Authentication (e.g., SAML, Kerberos, OAuth, LDAP)
- Web services, Integrations and Middleware (e.g., RESTful/SOAP, Mule/IIB/Fusion)
- Cloud Computing/IaaS (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Source Control (e.g., Git, SVN, CVS)
- Software troubleshooting and performance tuning
- Programming/Scripting (e.g., Java, C++/C#, Perl, Python)
- Data management and data visualization/BI
- Content management (e.g., CMIS, Alfresco, OpenText)
- Application Servers (e.g., JBoss, Tomcat, Weblogic, WebSphere)
- Web Servers (e.g., Apache, IIS)
- Operating Systems (e.g., Linux, Windows Server)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
