Position Summary:
The Apple Systems Engineer role is responsible for the tool and service designs within a technical domain that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards, and policies. You will design and deploy Apple and Mac solutions to ensure optimal functionality, performance, and user experience across all apple devices and software solutions used by the company. Once in production your role is key to ensure that solutions are operable, maintainable, manageable, and stable. He / she will work closely with global teams to deploy, configure, maintain, and support the solutions, focusing on Apple and Mac computers and / any other apple devices, and Adobe products. The candidate must be team-oriented, flexible, accountable, and work on multiple priorities in a fast-paced collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
- You will directly contribute to the overall IT strategy that supports and delivers the best-in-class services and outcomes to our customers.
- Responsible for the configuration, security, deployment and performance of all Apple devices hardware and software used by the end users both remote and on-site, globally.
- Provide patch management guidance and firmware update guidance for all Apple devices. Ensure timely distribution and installation of updates to maintain device security, stability, and compatibility.
- Administering Apple operating system installation and application packages using MDM solution such as JAMF to enforce security standards, device compliance and data protection.
- Responsible for the support of Xinet, DAM (Digital Asset Management) and creative workflow management solution.
- Responsible for the support and maintenance of the Mac OS and various Apple endpoints. Provide tier three support for all global apple issues that cannot be solved by tiers one or two support.
- Administering and manage Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and Acrobat.
- Monitor Adobe software license usage and assist with licenses renewals.
- Assist with the development with training and documentation delivering materials to educate the end users on the effective use of Apple productions, including device features, and application tools.
- Work with global IT teams that includes IT administrators, systems engineers, and software developers to ensure seamless integration of Apple products within the organization.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend latest Apple technologies changes, new releases, features, and updates to determine their impact and relevance to the organization's needs for adoption.
- Track all issues and resolution through a ticketing system and provide regular feedback for improvements.
- Work with vendors as needed to maintain the infrastructure and resolve issues.
- Expected to be flexible in a changing environment and willing to take on newer responsibilities.
- Performed other duties as assigned.
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Apple Certified (Apple certified Support Professional or Apple Certified Mac Technician)
- 5 + years hands-on experience with Apple products, including Mac OS, iOS, and associated software.
- Experience with MDM solutions (i.e., JAMF, Intune, Addigy, Kandji, etc.) for Apple (Mac).
- Experience with supporting Adobe Cloud Solutions
- Experience with Linux Operating System.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc.
- Good understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP) and security best practices.
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
- Be able to work on Mac command line, comfortable in Bash scripting, and PowerShell command.
- Proven abilities to work independently, IT teams, and business users.
- Ability to work under pressure and within strict time constraints while working in a changing environment with continually changing direction and requirements.
- Self-directed and capable of taking initiative.
Environmental Factors:
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business (if needed).
- In our Stamford office, we currently operate on a hybrid work schedule; 3 days work in the office, 2 days work from home.
