Job Description -

Skills

Cloud Architecture -

• all aspects, including full stack and cloud native architectures
• Experience +Certification in one or more public cloud systems: Azure or Google
• Knowledge of Pivotal is nice but not required. It is used in Client Ground so future projects will need this expertise.

Data Driven Design

C/C++ programming

• Code review
• Best Practices
  • TCP/UDP Socket programming
  • Multi-threading
  • Call-back programming
• Code branching management
• Debugging/Debugger
  • How to debug multi threaded programs
• Reading core dumps

Database -

• basic SQL skills (select, insert, update, delete)
• Knowledge of different database types (relation, document, key/value, etc)
• Some knowledge of HA/DR concepts and best practices
• Data structures; I.e. relational, json, xml, etc and when to use each

Messaging Systems

• Dev/QA expertise for writing and testing queue related code
• Infrastructure knowledge: queues, topics, connection factories, bridges, etc

Patterns and Practices

Mentorship

Agile Practitioner - Scrum Master knowledge preferred but not necessary.

Client Communication

• Advisory Role
• Status Reports
• Communication with Director, VP, EVP and knowing what type of discussion to have with each.

DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE

• In-depth knowledge of sortation systems,
  • Dock Configuration
  • Container Management
  • Sort Rules
  • Process Flow
• Some knowledge of transportation systems (trucking, ship yard, driver management,scheduling, etc)
• Dock Management System knowledge is helpful
