Application Architect

In this role you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world.​ Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures on AWS
• Develop and maintain Kubernetes clusters with a focus on security and compliance
• Utilize Docker and containerization to ensure secure application deployment
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Ansible and Packer
• Leverage Terraform to manage infrastructure as code
• Integrate with GitLab CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure and efficient software delivery
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure Artifactory and Sonarqube are used to maintain secure and compliant artifact management and code quality

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• **AWS**: Experience with AWS security services including IAM VPC S3 and CloudTrail
• **Kubernetes**: Deep understanding of Kubernetes security features including network policies secret management and RBAC
• **Docker**: Experience with Docker and containerization including Docker Compose and Kubernetes integration
• **Ansible**: Knowledge of Ansible automation and configuration management
• **Packer**: Experience with Packer for image creation and management
• **Terraform**: Understanding of Terraform and infrastructure as code
• **GitLab CI/CD**: Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automation
• **Artifactory**: Knowledge of Artifactory for artifact management and distribution
• **Sonarqube**: Understanding of Sonarqube for code quality and security analysis
