Application Architect: Azure Cloud

Introduction
In this role you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

As an IBM Application Architect you directly help clients transform their business  and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms.  You are a technical leader serving as a liaison among business partners technical resources and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Support continuous evolution of the Cloud Adoption Playbook (CAP) platform.
Own end-to-end design of workloads migrated/modernized/developed on Cloud. Support different use cases seeking adoption of Hybrid Cloud.Help enable a strong Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) and Cloud Community of Practie (CCoP). Work with different stakeholders including but not limited to Information Security Infrastructure and Operations in ensuring the designs and deployment architecture of workloads comply to Cencora governance models as well as are highly cost efficient to implement and run. Work with application stakeholders to determine the suitability and readiness of a workload to move to Cloud.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 10+ years of experience in designing Hybrid Cloud Solutions including the High-Level Design Low-Level Design and the Deployment Architecture
• Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS Azure Google Cloud) and their security features.
• Hands on experience with containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes) and serverless computing (Lambda FaaS) infrastructure as code (Terraform Biceps etc.) writing Azure DevOps Pipeline YAMLs etc
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python Java
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins GitHub Actions SonarQube CheckMarx Argo CD Ansible etc
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) platforms (e.g. Splunk ELK).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications
