Application Architect (Hybrid)

Position Summary

Responsible for innovative, maintainable, and sustainable technology solutions that address business needs. Provide technical and functional expertise on Web, Mobile, and Cloud Applications. In-depth knowledge and experience in information systems architecture, software design methodologies, software design patterns, and object-oriented design, adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques, and contribute to the technical code documentation. Remain aware of emerging technologies, programming languages, and standards. Lead development projects/initiatives and set standards for the development team. Perform continuous appraisal of implemented software.

Duties

• Research evaluate and recommend software, hardware, and cloud technologies. Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations.
• Incorporate security requirements into design. Adhere to technology control policies throughout design, development, and testing.
• Incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications.
• Ensure interface specifications are included in the completed deliverable.
• Identify applicable system platforms, components, and dependencies.
• Translate technical requirements into programmed application modules.
• Provide uniform integration into legacy systems. Provide guidance to support staff on software development and maintenance
• Maintain communication with other IT staff and pass the information on the latest trends in architecture software. Create / test prototypes.
• Participate in project planning sessions with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Analysts, and development team members to analyze business/technology requirements and outline the proposed technology solution.
• Participate in project estimating activities. Develops and submits budget proposals and funding requests.
• Develop/enhance software application modules.
• Perform unit, system, and integration testing and participate in capacity/performance testing of an application.
• Identify and document ongoing maintenance requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.

Required Experience

Experience Requirements

1. 8+ years in all phases of the software development lifecycle
2. 5+ years of working experience in design and development experience in Enterprise level Microsoft technology applications using dot net, C#, ReactJS/AngularJS/ jQuery/EXTJS, CSS, HTML5, and SQL
3. 2+ years of experience in application architecture
4. 1+ years of experience in developing and designing applications and web API in a Service Oriented Architecture, including the use of RESTful services and API gateways
5. 1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure or any other cloud applications
6. Experience in web application security practices and techniques and experience in remediation of potential application security threats
7. Experience working in a variety of development methodologies including Agile / SCRUM or other Iterative methodologies
8. Experience with the design and development of mobile apps is a plus

Required Skills

1. Strong analytical skills.

2. Must possess a high degree of initiative and self-direction.

3. Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation, organizational, and conflict management skills

4. Experience with UI technologies such as CSS, HTML5, Advanced JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX

5. Experience with any one of the following scripting language: ReactJS, AngularJS, jQuery, and EXTJS

6. Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures

7. Knowledge of Oracle ERP or other ERP systems

8. Solid business acumen and deep understanding of business processes in CRM and customer-facing applications

9. Experience mentoring and reviewing the work of technical team members.

10. Ability to work in a matrix team environment with both internal and 3rd party development teams (onshore / offshore).
