Application Cloud Architect

We currently have a vacancy for an Application Cloud Architect fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks

• Read and understand executable BPMN2.0 specifications, UML models as well as functional and technical requirements;
• Design and develop APIs;
• Creation of micro services and databases for functionality;
• Design and implementation of data storage solutions;
• Integration of DevOps pipelines;
• Prepare and implement Test scenarios and cases;
• Technical interface between the project leaders and the Developers;
• Creating designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture;
• Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using cloud components;
• Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Experience with micro-frontend architecture patterns;
• Experience with Angular 14+ framework and Typescript;
• Experience with CSS/SASS, HTML5, and SVG;
• Experience with process analysis for streamlining and automation;
• Experience with Camunda framework to apply executable BPMN specification subset restrictions and Camunda specific configuration;
• Experience with using Java, Spring & Spring Boot, Kafka Message Broker, Relational DB Oracle, Elastic Search;
• Experience with JavaScript (specificities of ES6 and TypeScript);
• Experience with Web vulnerabilities, including Cross site scripting and Cross site request forgery;
• Experience with middleware integration platforms;
• Experience with micro-services, macro-services and event-driven based architectures; 
• Experience with Client-side Single Page Application development;
• Experience with big UI projects: multi-modules, multiple target devices- Maintenance of a large codeset;
• Experience with NodeJS development and dependency management;
• Experience with authentication systems based on SSO and CAS: Session cookie management through REST API, session time-out state recovery;
• Experience with the following tools: GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Nexus, Crucible, Jenkins and Sonar;
• Good knowledge of DevOps pipelines;
• Knowledge and understanding of cloud architecture pattern and integration tools (AWS/Microsoft Azure);
• Familiarity with the contemporary tools and techniques for process automation as well as Business Process Management and Modelling techniques, BPMN 2.0 specification;
• The following would be considered as an asset:

- Knowledge of Redux architecture with NgRx and state management;

- Knowledge in PWA development using Ionic/Angular;

- Knowledge of middleware integration platforms, micro-services, macro-services and event-driven based architectures;

- Development knowledge, in particular with Java Spring and Angular;

- Modern DevSecOps Experience with Docker and Kubernetes;

- Experience with Compass Corporate, API Gateway, Secunda+, Dynamic Forms and Kafka;

- Experience with ARIS (EA/BPM tool);

• Excellent command of the English language.
