Application Consultant - Business Functions

Your Role and Responsibilities
This is a role that reports to the Lead/Manager BSA. You will be expected to work with Business Analysts/Product Owner/Architects to understand and clarify customer needs and review business requirements (Product Master Backlog Review). You will also collaborate with technical leads to define and capture low level design details/requirements in the Discovery/Delivery Backlog – this includes Story Mapping and Sizing (both at the T-Shirt and the Story Point Level); collaborate with technical leads to solution and support in the building out of product features; collaborate with developers to resolve issues/gaps during the testing cycles (both in-sprint and product certification testing); actively and proactively participate in the key ceremonies of the project lifecycle phases to guide the team; define mappings between payment related messages and internal formats; and work closely with developers database managers and systems administrators and project and product managers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

1. Minimum of 5 years in business system analysis or equivalent
2. Working knowledge of Jira confluence. Experience creating project/product artifacts technical design/sequence diagrams business architecture diagrams application supporting documentation (user manual release notes etc.)
3. Excellent in agile processes and knowledge of the financial industry and regulation (Real-Time Payments SWIFT AFT/EFT ACH Corporate & Retail Payments ISO20022 etc.)
4. Technical knowledge on the following areas: Cloud APIs Continuous deployment (CICD) Database Fundamentals (Relational DB concepts)
5. Ability to translate in technical non-functional requirements for applications (RT RO Application Availability and SLA Usability requirements Archiving ETC.)
6. A clear credit check is a requirement for this role

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

1. Familiarity with ISO 20022 & BIAN frameworks
2. Familiarity with Agile methodology
