Application Developer

Department: IT Job Status: Full-Time Reports to: Director of IT

POSITION SUMMARY

The Carter Logistics IT team has an opening for an application developer to develop new applications and troubleshoot existing C# applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Gather requirements and design applications based on business needs
• Correct issues in existing applications
• Work with systems engineering team to make full use of available resources
• Test applications to ensure integrity of the final product
• Create troubleshooting documentation (FAQs) for support team
• Troubleshoot existing web applications to correct issues and enhance functionality

EDUCATION:

Relevant 4-year degree or equivalent work experience.

EXPERIENCE:

• .Net Core, .Net Framwork, C#, MVC, JQuery, Javascript
• Familiarity with the Razor view engine (.CSHTML)
• HTML5/CSS with responsive cross-browser compatibility
• T-SQL (MSSQL)
• Ability to work independently or within a team
• Usage of source control (Azure Repos)

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience developing applications using ASP NET MVC (3 and higher)
• React JS
• ASP Web Forms
• Transportation knowledge preferred

• SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)

Solid work history and willingness to successfully function in a team environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is remote. Onsite availability may be required.
