Your Role and Responsibilities
We are currently recruiting Application Developer-IBM Cloud FullStack for a 9 month fixed term contract based in Sydney.
You will be part of an Application Development team that is responsible for supporting the full life cycle of development and enhancements. As an Application Developer your responsibilities include –

• Work effectively individually and with team members toward customer satisfaction and success
• Create high and low level design for micro services and APIs as per Westpac WDP standards.
• Develop design documents and review technical documents from Solution Architects for projects in the Cards Originations domain and manage the alignment of the program’s architecture to the Bank’s Enterprise Architecture.
• Define technical user stories and track the development activities of the team members
• Lead workshops and engage stakeholders as required from onshore.
• Lead and participate in problem solving to deliver large scale changes through process engineering and technology.
• Design and build deliverables to ensure traceability of the built solution to the architectural principles and business objectives.
• Be keenly aware of timelines and budgeting to deliver in a timely manner
• Callout Risk/dependencies of the project to program stake holders and Scrum team

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
To ensure success in the role you will possess the following skills –

• Manage and lead large and complex Banking projects and teams across locations preferably in the Cards Originations & Digital Wallets business domain.
• 6+ years of experience in most of the layers of application development.
• Should stitch together end to end applications either on premises environment or on the Cloud for our clients.
• Must have JAVA Microservices API backend development middleware integration and persistent data in NoSQL or RDBMS database.
• Should have vast experience on various skills related to all the layers like Java J2EE Servlet/JSP CSS3 XML Java script GWT Struts Spring Hibernate Groovy Micro services REST/SOA services JavaConnector (JCo) APIGEE or API Connect HTML5 Shell scripting for persistence.
• Other Frameworks like JUnit 3.0 Log4j etc. IDE for Dev: SAP NWDS 7.1 IBM-WSAD 5.1.1 Eclipse3.1 & NetBeans 6.0. Design skills: UML Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) & J2EE Design Patterns.
• Should be proficient in DevOps methodologies and tools.
• Must have Banking domain certification ITIL certification and Agile certification (prefer SAFe Agile).
