Application Developer II (remote opportunity)

Summary: This position is responsible writing accurate and efficient program code, updating and expanding existing programs, debugging existing programs, and testing software with both manual and automated unit test approaches.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Proficient in application development for more than one technology.
2. Full stack development knowledge; familiar with all stages of development.
3. Analyzes existing program logic to determine best method of accomplishing required changes or cause of program malfunction.
4. Performs maintenance and modification of programs currently in production to keep them responsive to user needs and to assure efficient operation in the production environment.
5. Error handling / code exception management.
6. Designs program logic to meet specifications and to adhere to development and architecture standards.
7. Prepares test data and thoroughly tests code leveraging automated unit test framework (when possible).
8. Analyzes production programs to isolate problems or to determine more efficient methods.
9. Documents and maintains program specifications according to Grange standards.
10. Fulfills administrative reporting requirements.

What You'll Bring To The Company:

• Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Information Technology or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or similar degree.
• 1 to 3 years of prior experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to influence peer group.
• Shows a basic business knowledge for a single business discipline/function.
• Demonstrate proficiency in learning and using multiple development languages.
• Excellent organization skills, with proven analytical, planning, problem solving and decision-making skills.
