Application Developer II - ServiceNow SAM

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ITAM/ServiceNow Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in implementing ServiceNow's Software Asset Management (SAM) Pro and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Pro modules across multiple implementations. This role requires a deep understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) principles, ServiceNow development, and relevant certifications.

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

1. Facilitate end to end SAM operations and administration including software data quality check, data processing and reporting.
2. Build integrations to collect Software license and usage data from SAAS and custom applications.
3. Configure ServiceNow Software Asset Workspace for publishers
4. Define SAM program operating model, Resource Requirements, SAM policies and document processes.
5. Bring in best practices related License consumption reporting using SAM tool.
6. Share ideas and implement improvement initiatives in software asset and license compliance procedures.

---- Basic Qualifications ----

1. Proven extensive hands-on relevant experience of 2-6 years in ServiceNow SAM Pro with thorough understanding of SAM OOTB Processes and features.
2. Strong understanding on various publisher licensing models (i.e. Processor based, Core based, Floating Users).
3. Ability to work with data from various systems to locate information such as Contracts, purchase records, license agreements, etc.
4. Should have excellent knowledge on building processes and procedure documents and explain the possible outcomes of each process with SAM process.
5. Good understanding of discovery tools and Service Graph connectors
6. Be able to work with stakeholders, Implement/develop OOTB SAM Pro Product with minimum supervision
7. Strong technical skills, including scripting, workflow configuration, and business rule development.
8. In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, modules, and best practices.
9. Proficiency in scripting languages (Java Script, Glide Script) and other relevant languages

Experience in conducting workshops and training sessions for teams to ensure effective use of ServiceNow ITAM solutions.

Integrating ServiceNow with third-party tools and data sources using APIs, SCCM, web services, and connectors.
