TriTech Enterprise Systems, Inc. is seeking a 'Application Developers (CRL)'. This candidate will provide support and assistance to design, development, integrate, test, and deploy a modernized BMF platform and also support day-to-day Operations & Maintenance (O&M) work based on IRS priorities. Provide for project management, O&M, development, modernization, enhancements, software development, legislative changes, and developmental O&M upgrades.
Statement of Work:
Business Master File Modernization (BMF Mod) is one of multiple programs created to modernize the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) the legacy Tax processing systems and is critical to the IRS IT Application Development (AD) and IRS IT Enterprise Service (ES) organizations’ goal to support the objectives of the IRS IT Modernization Business Plan. BMF Mod’s initiative will modernize IRS systems and processes, improve taxpayer experience, increase voluntary compliance, and reduce the Service’s reliance on costly and unsustainable legacy technology.
Required skills/Level of Experience:
• Experience with IRS Core Record Layout (CRL), QSAM Data Formats
• Experience with IRS Individual Master File (IMF) or Business Master File (BMF) highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of IBM z/OS assembly language: This includes understanding assembly instructions, addressing modes, data manipulation techniques, and job control processing. Will provide support with legacy code business rules extraction and code conversion.
• Knowledge of CA Endevor Software Change Manager (SCM) tool – including version control, release management, security and access control, and integration of Endevor with other development tools.
• Knowledge of BMC Control-M – specifically with respect to automating job scheduling, managing workflows, and monitoring job execution.
• Familiarity with IBM mainframe architecture: Grasp of concepts like storage hierarchy (registers, memory, I/O), system calls (SVCs), and interrupt handling mechanisms.
• In-depth knowledge of legacy mainframe data formats: This includes experience with DB2, QSAM, VSAM data formats.
• Understanding of target Java code: Candidate should have an understanding of object-oriented programming principles, Java syntax, libraries, frameworks, and best practices and have the ability to translate assembly logic to modern constructs such as mapping assembly instructions to equivalent Java code using loops, conditional statements, functions, and object-oriented design patterns.
• Active IRS MBI Clearance High Desirable
