Job Description
Must be a current contractor with Cigna Healthcare, Evernorth Health Services, or one of their subsidiaries.
The objective of this position is to work with business and technical experts to implement quality software engineering solutions and best practices. The individual must have superb analytical and technical skills. The individual will be expected to participate in the collaborative architectural refinement, software design and realization of products that support the strategic technology needs to support the organization. A full stackengineer is a person that has a breadth of knowledge in computer science, a problem solving mentality and a desire to learn. This person is comfortable working within a technical capacity across many of the sectors including core development on platform, data processing and report generation. The FSE will be working in a team that demands technical excellence and whose members are expected to hold each other accountable in the overall success of the output. Focus for this team is on the delivery of innovative solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities
- Core code development for back, middle and front end applications
- Operational triage of bugs, failed test cases and system failures
- Lead the team with technical support and guidance as needed
- Perform code review and make recommendations for optimizing code performance
- Mapping user stories to detailed technical specifications
- Deploying & developing cloud applications end to end
- Contributing to a pilot or PoC effort to bring innovation to delivery
- Working In stages of the environment lifecycle including Production
- Automation of manual data object creation and test cases
- Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas
Requirements and Skill sets needed:
- 5+ years of software development experience in Core Java
- Experience in AWS services including AWS Step function, Lambda(using Python), AWS Glue, SNS, SQS, Eventbridge
- Experience in Java 8 features such as Lambda Expressions, functional programing
- Experience in Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, RESTful API services
- Experience with Terraform, experience with setting up CI/CD pipelines is a plus
- Experience with NoSQL Databases such as MongoDB
- Experience with containers such as Open Shift/ Kubernetes, Docker
- Experience with Kafka
- Experience with JUnit, end to end testing. Having done TDD based application development is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in SDLC, including testing and deployment
- Working knowledge of scripting languages
- Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design
- Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism
