IT Application Engineer Job Description

As an IT Application Engineer at CoverMyMeds, you help create and maintain solutions that make our healthcare system work more efficiently and effectively in order to help millions of patients receive the medications they need to live healthy lives.

You're the expert at supporting enterprise applications to maximize their utility across the organization. You proactively propose solutions and improvements to ensure the enterprise applications we own are always running at peak efficiency. You work with everyone from the technical side to the operations side with endless opportunities to take on responsibility, mentor and continue learning.

Our Tech Stack:

Atlassian (Confluence and Jira), Slack, Jamf, Linux, Azure

What You'll Do:

• Participate on a team responsible for owning enterprise applications
  • General administration of our enterprise applications
  • General maintenance of our enterprise applications
  • Troubleshoot production issues impacting performance/availability/stability of our enterprise applications
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive the value of the supported enterprise applications and ensure needs are being met in an efficient manner
• Jump in as needed, wearing multiple hats, and cross-training with the team

About You:

• Experience participating in a diverse and rapidly changing IT environment
• Thrive in a collaborative environment, pairing on work and picking up a variety of responsibilities
• Adaptable to changing priorities and understanding diverse stakeholder's needs
• Desire to empathetically share and receive feedback and knowledge to help everyone keep improving

Things that would set you apart:

• Experience owning an enterprise application
• Experience participating in a DevOps/Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) environment
