Application Engineer

Join a team of IT professionals in the development, maintenance and support of critical ISO New England applications. This position will work on a wide variety of applications and technologies in a focused and dynamic team environment.

How you will make an Impact:

• Be part of an implementation team in transitioning our on-premise Finance system to a cloud-based ERP
• Learn vendor applications and respective technical tools to design and build integrations (bridges), reports etc
• Day to day applications support of Finance and Compliance - vendor and in-house developed Applications
• Configure and upgrade vendor applications
• Troubleshoot issues by identifying root cause and develop a plan for problem resolution
• Utilize the software development life cycle and manage production business processes to resolve software problems and improvements
• Identify and remediate application vulnerabilities in a timely manner
• Provide on-call and off hours support as required to keep mission critical applications operating
• Learn ISO-NE business processes and adhere to ISO-NE software and change management and IT standards
• Work in a team environment to support business partners and other technical staff

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelors or master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
• Candidate must possess strong teamwork, interpersonal, and problem solving skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Understanding of relational databases specifically Oracle, SQL Server and PostGres
• Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
• Knowledge of Windows powershell script and Unix shell script
• Familiarity with GIT or any other code repository/management system
• Experience with Infor Financial product - Lawson / FSM / EPM a plus
• Experience in supporting vendor applications a plus
• Programming in JAVA/J2EE, or Springboot a plus
