Individual contributor providing highest level of leadership in systems analysis, system design, application development and/or integration expertise on the most complex systems applications to support business needs. This position has an understanding of technical systems from an end-to-end perspective, how to develop automated solutions to business problems, and/or how to maintain centrally developed or integrated systems. The focus of this position will be designing or developing business applications and/or designing or developing alternative solutions.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and develop business applications or alternative solutions.
• Serve as principal designer for major high risk, high complexity systems and subsystems.
• Lead integration of vendor applications into CNA applications.
• Provide comprehensive technical consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest level of complexity on all phases of application programming and processes for diverse development platforms and computing environments.
• Participate in performance engineering functionality testing, production implementation, application recovery, and maintenance application stability defect resolution.
• Act as expert technical resource to develop and mentor staff in all phases of the development and implementation process.
• Participate in instructing, directing, and checking the design or applications work of others. Lead high risk projects.
• Design and develop commercial insurance products using Guidewire Policy Center, Guidewire - Standard Based Templates (SBT) and Guidewire Cloud.
• Develop agency portal using Java and React JS, integrate with various external systems, and create process workflows to help agents navigate through the complete lifecycle of the policy.
• Integrate Policy Administration Systems with Billing systems using Guidewire Billing Center.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related and 5 (five) years of experience in application development
Must have some work experience with each of the following:

• Design and develop commercial insurance products using Guidewire Policy Center, Guidewire - Standard Based Templates (SBT) and Guidewire Cloud;
• Develop agency portal using Java and React JS, integrate with various external systems, and create process workflows to help agents navigate through the complete lifecycle of the policy; and
• Integrate Policy Administration Systems with Billing systems using Guidewire Billing Center.

Primary Location United States - Illinois - Chicago
Organization - Technology
Mon-Fri., 8:30am - 4:45pm, 37.5 hours/week, $145,000 to $162,000 per year, overtime exempt. This position qualifies for CNA's employee referral policy program.
