Application Engineer

Job Summary:

An Application Engineer applies the theories and principles to the design, development, and verification of new and improved technology solutions. Their duties include gathering information from customers on business needs with project managers, partnering with architects on technology standards and roadmaps. The Application Engineer guide effective solution delivery with a focus on design and verification, overseeing technology contributions from internal and external resources.

Essential Job Functions:

• Expertise with HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript Frameworks such as Angular, Jquery
• Strong knowledge of the .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, LINQ, Visual Studio IDE, SQL, Batch, and PowerShell
• API development experience
• Design, develop, test, maintain, and support enterprise applications
• Database design and development
• High sense of urgency and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
• Self-starter with an ability to initiate and follow through on multiple concurrent projects under minimal supervision with high attention to detail
• Partner with business and/or business analysts to analyze and understand the organization's information technology needs and translate into technical requirements
• Ensure solutions are aligned with the technology roadmap and standards (technology, security, quality)
• Create process flowcharts, diagrams, technical workflows and other related design documentation
• Ability to document and effectively communicate complex technical subject matter
• Experience working with cross-functional business initiatives involving varying levels of the organization, from end users to executive leadership
• Leadership, negotiation and consensus-building skills with business and technical groups
• Strong project management and organization skills

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
• Full Stack / Cloud experience
• Experience in the following domains:

• C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core
• T-SQL, Entity Framework, LINQ to SQL
• Batch, PowerShell
• HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript Frameworks such as Angular, Jquery
• API development
• Solid understanding of relational database management systems: SQL

• Dev/Ops & Cloud experience a plus
