Job Summary:

Supermicro is looking for talented and passionate Application Engineer who has in-depth knowledge in networking solution, especially in switch products. You will be responsible in providing technical supports to our enterprise customers, promote internal switch products to provide optimize customer's networking solution. The ideal candidate must have strong technical background in networking switch product as well as exceptional communication skill -- ability to interface with all level of management staffs in professional manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

• Work directly with customers to resolve technical issues including motherboard, server systems, PC systems, and computer peripherals on the phone, by emails, or go onsite
• Identify technical issues and resolve computer hardware & software problems
• Establish and maintain lines of communication with sales team to discuss services and technical issues
• Provide service to effectively resolve customer concerns and issues
• Continually develop knowledge base of current and new products
• Acts as the product expert, with deep technical understanding, engaging with both the product support team and development team to provide correct product solutions to customers
• Engages closely with product management teams to bring product to life with optimized system configuration support

Qualifications:

• BS or BSEE (or equivalent) Electrical Engineer / Computer Engineer / Computer Science degree is preferred
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in a job in the PC/Server market (PC/server/workstation system product support and management preferred)
• Technical support in PC/Server industry is a plus
• Excellent telephone etiquette skills and onsite support skills
• Ability to motivate others in sensitive situations
• Highly analytical, creative, detail oriented, organized, good team player
• Self-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to consistently exceed objectives and improve processes

Salary Range

$65,000 - $129,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
