The Opportunity:

As an Application Engineer, you will contribute to key overall division initiatives in product development, design requirements and testing, product application and competitive strategy, industry compliance initiatives, and contributions to growing the VRF and DFS industry in the US market. You will also work in conjunction with other functional areas (Innovation and Customer Experience, etc.) across the US CAC team to deliver one message for LG's customers and help drive growth.

What You'll Do:

• Support proper product application to field projects for DOAS (Dedicated Outdoor Air System) Products and working with sales and reps on specific applications challenges

• Analyze, build, and maintain DOAS Product training materials

• Define product/feature requirements and effectively communicate with the factory through product/feature development process

• Update sales tools and documentation with NPI (new products) and EOL of outdated models for DOAS products

• Develop common stories to promote LG air conditioning products and make it easier to apply them

• Provide support to other teams in creation and review of marketing materials to promote existing and new DOAS products

• Support proper product application to field projects through creating product applications materials, providing product/applications training to sales and reps, and working with sales and reps on specific applications challenges

• Work with sales team to identify opportunities to improve/upgrade existing DOAS products

• Coordinate with factory R&D for bug fixes, updates, and upgrades to DOAS products

• Track industry direction and developments in ASHRAE and other standards and develop strategies for product development accordingly

• Work with sales team to identify opportunities to develop strategies that promote sales

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in ME, EE or equivalent with advanced and progressive skills in US applied commercial air conditioning industry including experience in technical product applications support required

• Experience with VRF (variable refrigerant flow) Chillers or Ductless mini-split HVAC (heating, ventilation & air conditioning) systems a plus

• Experience in Product Management a plus

• PM Certification a plus

• Comfortable presenting to and engaging with a technical audience including engineers, consultants, and owners.

• Adaptable to the management style and process methods of foreign colleagues to achieve common goals.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and architectural blueprints, specifications, and HVAC equipment submittal data.
