POSITION OVERVIEW

The Applications Engineering Product Lead will be responsible for all aspects of the Applications Engineering team assigned to a specific CIRCOR product. They will be expected to contribute to the alignment of Global standards; including but not limited to customer specifications, requests for quotes, proposal development, product information, front-line technical support, and special requests. This position requires a change agent with a proven track record in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing and engineered-to-order (ETO) environments capable of driving process improvement through the application of lean tools. This position will ensure that end-to-end business practices are aligned with system applications to provide world class application and technical support to our customers.

Principal Activities

• Work with functional leadership to develop & execute strategy to streamline end-to-end processes in order to service our customers technical inquiries more effectively
• Establish & maintain operational excellence standards around contract review, order entry, requests for quote, order status, product information, & special requests
• Build a high-performing team transforming culture to highly customer-oriented & technically savvy with a high degree of results & accountability focus
• Enhance and strengthen existing daily management practices through strong Key Performance Indicators (KPI) management, failure mode identification, & problem solving

Job Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

• Typically requires a minimum level of knowledge that is acquired through a four-year college degree in an applicable field (Mechanical Engineering) and no previous related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience functionally in, Engineering, Operations, or Business preferred
• 5-7 years of combined experience within Applications Engineering or Customer Service, with at least 5 years in a technical capacity producing technical proposals. Experience with rotating equipment, such as motors or pumps is strongly preferred.
• Experience with multiple site locations preferred

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

• Experienced in a High-mix/low-volume industrial manufacturing with an "Engineered to Order" mindset
• Exceptional data analytics & strong ability to perform in a metric driven environment
• Proven track record as a Subject Matter Expert
• Expert with Sales & Application tools (CRM, selectors, configurators, etc.)
• Must be a strong influencer, driven solely by data and facts.
• Experience with lean principles
• Potential travel is minimal
