Application Engineer Summer 2023 Internship

Beacon Platform’s Front Office Suite provides a wide array of applications, market models, and cross asset pricing and risk analytics built atop core Beacon Platform services. Your job will be to build, improve, and extend these components as part of a collaborative project with our team of financial developers. You will also write and improve documentation, lead presentations and provide training on what you build to your colleagues at Beacon.

Responsibilities:

• Develop functionality for Front Office Applications for Beacon Platform
• Collaborate with members of the Beacon Platform engineering and quant teams and external clients to determine project specifications and provide analytical solutions
• Architect, implement and deploy new components and applications into production
• Write internal and client-facing documentation

Requirements:

• Strong Python knowledge
• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and database systems
• Familiarity with test driven code development and SCM tools such as Git
• A Degree or active pursuance of a degree in a relevant STEM field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
• Experience with and interest in financial markets

Salary Range: $20 - $30 per hour
