Your team responsibilities

MSCI, Inc. seeks Application Management Engineer in Norman, OK to plan, document and deploy financial software applications to ASP.NET (web application) on Windows and Unix/Linux based systems.

Your key responsibilities

Manage system and software configurations and troubleshoot environment issues. Manage production hardware and software resources including coordinating maintenance and outages with infrastructure group. Collaborate with development and software testing teams throughout the release process. Analyze, release and deploy processes to identify key areas for automation and optimization. Identify opportunities for optimizing system performance through changes in configuration or suggestions for development. Provide second level product technical support as point of escalation for our operations team.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or related occupation: maintaining and developing Client Server and Service Oriented Architecture with software architects to understand performance and stability problems for improving the overall system; reading and debugging Procedural Programming Languages including C and Java to assist the development team to find root causes of problems in code; utilizing scripting languages, including Perl, Bash, Awk, and Python, to manage workflows for day to day operations including data generation, client workflow management, maintenance and proprietary code releases; debugging and modifying current scripts and creating new scripts; and troubleshooting platforms and software tools.
