Application Programmer

Information Technology Strategies, LLC. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking an Application Programmer to work for our company.

Summary:

• Must have an ACTIVE U.S. Federal Government SECRET Clearance or above.
• Will analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts. Will develop block diagrams and logic flowcharts. Will translate detailed design into computer software. Will design, code, test, debug, and refine the computer software to produce the required product. Will prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user level documentation. Will enhance software to reduce operating time and improve efficiency. Will provide technical direction to programmers, as required, to ensure that program deadlines are met. Will devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.

Requirements:

• Must have an ACTIVE U.S. Federal Government SECRET Clearance or above.
• Must have a CompTIA Security+ CE Certification. 
• Must have 6+ years of experience as an application programmer on large-scale DBM.
• Must have knowledge of computer equipment, and ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives.

Preferences:

• Technical Experience with Energy Procurement Support Tools (EPST) applications.
• Knowledge of the EPST application database process.
