Application Security Architect

Clear Street is building financial infrastructure for today’s institutions. Founded in 2018, Clear Street is an independent, non-bank prime broker replacing the legacy infrastructure used across capital markets. 

We started from scratch by building a completely cloud-native clearing and custody system designed for today’s complex, global market. Our platform is fully integrated with central clearing houses and exchanges to support billions in trading volume per day. The Team:

As an application security architect in the Security team, you’ll have the opportunity to influence the security posture of our products and services. In this role specifically, you’ll be responsible for leading application security efforts as part of the product development lifecycle. You will:

• Analyze and assess cyber security risks for Clear Street’s products
• Build a mitigation plan for addressing cyber security risks
• Work together with R&D teams on implementing mitigation strategies
• Take part in product design, bringing the cyber security point of view
• Establish secure coding and secure testing practices
• Run penetration tests both internally and using 3rd party firms

Requirements:

• At least eight (8) years of professional experience running secure SDLC processes
• Strong background in software development
• Very good understanding of software design
• Good understanding of cloud based architectures 
• Good understanding of a kubernetes based technology stack
• Excellent communication skills
