Application Software Developer-Remote

Position Purpose: Design, build, test and maintain scalable and stable off the shelf application or custom built technology solutions to meet business needs. You will be working on the modernization (cloud-native, event based systems) of our claims platforms.

• Participate and contribute in the entire implementation process for new applications and enhancements to existing applications• Provide input on the overall solution design• Build and test applications• Meet with business partners to understand business needs• Conduct root cause analysis and implement basic performance tuning• Responsible for ensuring solution meets business needs

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience. 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Completion of a technical training program (e.g. LaunchCode, FDM, etc.) may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree. Healthcare experience a plus. Software development experience. Experience with Java Script. Experience in Web development using HTML, XLM, XSL, XSLT, jQuery, CSS and AJAX. Understanding of Agile methodology.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Go, Python, Java or other prominent software development language.
• Knowledge of version control. E.g. Git / Gitlab is a plus
• Familiar with continuous integration and continuous delivery is a plus
• Experience with Rest API/Microservices is a plus
• Experience building frontend applications with React, NextJS, Svelte, or Astro
• Knowledge of JSON and REST based services
• Ability to effectively demonstrate complex solutions in easily understandable way

Pay range: $24.00 to $43.00 per hour

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. The employee may be eligible for bonuses and other forms of compensation.
