This role has been designated as Hybrid work schedule and will be based out of our St. Paul, MN Flexible work-from-home options are available.

We are hiring an Application Software Engineer position in our Commercial HVAC group in St. Paul, MN. This position will be focused on embedded software for HVAC unit controls and building automation system controls. The role will be responsible for developing structured, verified software on schedule to meet customer-defined requirements. You will work closely partnering with other software, hardware, control algorithm and, project engineers on a design team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and code software solutions across hardware and software platforms to meet key quality and functional requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews and mentoring of peers in design best practices. Prepare schedules for all project assignments and activities
  • Understand construction fundamentals; minimize complexity, anticipate change, plan for verification.
  • Create and execute test plans and test software at appropriate times in the development cycle.
  • And other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, engineering technology or equivalent from a four year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in C/C++ software application development
  • Linux experience
  • Object Oriented analysis, design, and programming
  • Experience with the entire software life cycle and associated tools.

Base Compensation Range is $65,000 to $137,000
