We are looking for talented individuals who can provide administration and support of key applications across multiple platforms using leading edge technology. In addition, they will consult with IT application groups, IT architecture, project management, and security to ensure that appropriate considerations are made. They need to possess an understanding of application environments, interfaces, third-party components, and integration architecture.
About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to provide administration and support of key applications across multiple platforms using leading edge technology.
Essential Functions
- Provide administration and support of key applications across multiple platforms
- Provide day-to-day support and monitoring of the servers and client applications
- Provide after-hours support
- Manage incidents according to IT policy and procedure
- Analyze and provide root cause analysis on performance and stability data and metrics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business users, project managers, application managers, infrastructure teams and other engineers to achieve product and team goals
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Desire and ability to mentor, share skills, knowledge, and expertise
- Strong RDBMS knowledge
- Ability to read and write queries and stored procedures in SQL and SQL Server.
- Background in Java
- Administering WebSphere/Apache/Linux servers
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and users
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and live environment debugging skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment utilizing Agile
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles, and solutions
- Demonstrates dependability and commitment to projects and tasks via initiative, ownership, and 7x24 availability
- Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 3+ years IT experience required
- Experience required in Agile methodologies preferred
- DevOps experience preferred

This compensation range is for the Application Support Engineer II & III job and contemplates a wide range of factors that are considered in determining most appropriate job level and making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location, skill sets, education, relevant experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Commerce, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $78,000 to $104,000. The candidate selected for this position may be eligible for the following employment benefits: employer sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance, paid vacation, and paid personal time.
