We are looking for talented individuals who can provide administration and support of key applications across multiple platforms using leading edge technology. In addition, they will consult with IT application groups, IT architecture, project management, and security to ensure that appropriate considerations are made. They need to possess an understanding of application environments, interfaces, third-party components, and integration architecture.

Essential Functions

  • Provide administration and support of key applications across multiple platforms
  • Provide day-to-day support and monitoring of servers and client applications
  • Provide after-hours support
  • Manage incidents according to IT policy and procedure
  • Analyze and provide root cause analysis on performance, stability data and metrics
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business users, project managers, application managers, infrastructure teams, and other engineers to achieve product and team goals
  • Develop automation utilizing scripting tools (i.e., Puppet) to automate the delivery of the application into the environment or maintain the state of the environment as specified by the application
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Strong knowledge of RDBMS
  • Strong knowledge of Web (Apache)/Application/Database Linux/Windows/AIX servers
  • Strong knowledge of Java
  • Desire and ability to mentor, share skills, knowledge, and expertise
  • Ability to read and write queries and stored procedures in SQL, SQL Server and DB2
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and users
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and live environment debugging skills
  • Ability to increase productivity and efficiency
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment utilizing Agile
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles, and solutions
  • Demonstrate dependability and commitment to projects and tasks via initiative, ownership, and 7x24 availability

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 5+ years IT experience required
  • DevOps experience required
  • Experience with .NET Framework 4.5, .NET Core, SQL Server 2019, MS Server 2019 required
  • Experience with ELK Stack, Nagios, and Python preferred
  • Experience in Agile methodologies preferred

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $78,000 to $104,000 annually. Depending on the job level, this position may be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals. The candidate selected for this position may be eligible for the following employment benefits: employer sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance, paid vacation, and paid personal time.
