About This Job

The main purpose of this job is Support systems interfaces, fields, and processes financial processes and new product setup. This role will develop automation utilizing scripting tools (i.e., Puppet) to automate the delivery of the application into the environment or maintain the state of the environment as specified by the application.

Essential Functions

• Provide administration and support of key applications across multiple platforms using leading edge technology
• Provide technical aspects and enhancements of data analytical tools supporting enterprise data warehouse and data lake
• Provide day-to-day support and monitoring of the servers and client applications
• Provide after-hours support
• Manage incidents according to IT policy and procedure
• Analyze and provide root cause analysis on performance and stability data and metrics.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business users, project managers, application managers, infrastructure teams and other engineers to achieve product and team goals
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Strong knowledge of RDBMS and Python
• Ability to read and write queries in SQL and SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata
• Ability to administer Apache/Linux servers
• Ability to mentor, share skills, knowledge, and expertise
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and users
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and live environment debugging skills
• Ability to remediate vulnerabilities identified by security scans
• Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment utilizing Agile
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles, and solutions
• Ability to demonstrate dependability and commitment to projects and tasks via initiative and ownership
• Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• 5+ years IT experience required
• Experience with GIT integration via TFS required
• Strong SQL skills using various platforms such as Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc required
• Experience required in Agile methodologies preferred
• Experience with DevOps and Azure preferred
