Job Summary

We are looking for a experienced Application Engineer Technical Lead to join our Information Technology Application Engineering and Support team. The ideal candidate will have a wide breadth of experience in software lifecycle management, with experience in SS&C Chorus BPM previous known as AWD along with ITIL methodology. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting operational delivery team aligned to one of our business units. To ensure success as an Application Engineering Technical Lead in-depth knowledge of supporting 3rd Party Applications within an integrated environment, knowledge of system administration and networking, Java, developing stored procedures Oracle environment.

The App Support Engineering Lead will provide technical leadership in the end-to-end design, development and delivery of technology-enabled applications, products and services. Responsible for meeting project schedules and delivering high quality solutions that meet technical specifications and design requirements. Manage the design and implementation of new services with other technologists.

Role Key Responsibility:

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide support for AWD Chorus BPM services
  • Defines the solutions for any features that the team is working on
  • Works with other team members to implement and validate the solutions
  • Understand the platform technical and business roadmap
  • Ensure the team is delivering quality work
  • Performance and event monitoring
  • Design and develop technical solutions for supported services
  • Provide Level 3 engineering support for Incident management, Service requests, Change requests and ServiceNow processes for supported services
  • Liaises with Senior Leadership on project, operational, and strategy risks and opportunities, along with corrective action plans when required.
  • Manages delivery on all project and operational commitments, including quality and timeliness metrics.
  • Coaches, mentors and delegates work to lower-level professionals.
  • Proactively anticipates service issues before they occur and able to make recommendations around resolution
  • Flexibility to the demands of the services we provide and any project to which they are assigned. The role may require out of office hours work

  • Evaluating, identifying, and developing software solutions
  • Implementation of business initiatives and projects for Enterprise Application.
  • Documenting and recording every aspect of an application or software
  • Training and overseeing the activities of the members of the support team
  • Planning, tracking, and scheduling deliverables
  • Locating and directing solutions for critical challenges involving software and hardware interface
  • Looking for problems within software systems and resolving the issues
  • Developing good working relationships with other IT and Business work teams.

You should be able to:

  • Work autonomously being able to add value given a goal and direction
  • Reviewing application requirements and interface designs.
  • Identifying user interactions.
  • Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application codes.
  • Monitoring and improving both front-end and back-end performance.
  • Documenting application changes and developing updates.

Job Requirements

Required Education and/or Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science preferred or a bachelor's degree combined with related experience.

Required Work Experience

  • 5+ Years as a Application Support Engineer or equivalent
  • Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

Salary Band: 07B

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN.The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, WI, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
