Application System Administrator I

SUMMARY

This position supports the activities related to planning, design, installation, configuration, implementation, administration, support, security, documentation, and maintenance of BancFirst applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Provides support to BancFirst employees to minimize service disruption and facilitate operations.

Receives escalated calls for technical and operations support and diagnostics for application issues from internal and external users.

Troubleshoots issues via phone, remote desktop assistance and on-site support. Assists other IS staff members, when necessary, in order to resolve issues.

Assists in testing, debugging, implementing, and troubleshooting of software as directed.

Assists in the development and maintenance of technical and operational documentation.

Creates, troubleshoots, and modifies existing scripts to automate business processes.

Interacts professionally with various levels of our employees and outside representatives.

Proposes modifications and enhancements to existing applications to improve their functionality or address any issues that arise.

Assists with the installation and testing of software, routine maintenance, and where necessary, vendor updates and patches to software as assigned and directed.

Will participate in 24/7 on-call duty for after-hours support on a regular rotation basis.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

2 to 4 years experience supporting business applications

2 to 4 years experience in Information Technology

Experience with network and PC security in a Microsoft environment

Experience with project management and change control

A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to the work

Experience with implementing new software and administrating systems

Experience with a virtual network environment

Experience with maintaining web environments (IIS and Apache tomcat)

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications

Good written and verbal communication skills

Must work well in a team environment

Demonstrates a superior customer service attitude

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Experience with computer hardware and peripherals

Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems

Ability to troubleshoot advanced software issues

Basic network troubleshooting skills

Experience with automation and scripting

Ability to positively and quickly adapt to new and changing technology

Must be able to work under pressure, while communicating efficiently, and providing excellent customer service

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Constant use of computer screens and reading of reports

Ability to operate a computer keyboard, multi-line telephone, photocopier, scanner and facsimile

Regularly required to sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk, see or hear

Intermittently standing, stooping, bending at the waist, walking, kneeling or crouching to file materials

Ability to lift and/or move and carry 10 pounds
