Application Tester

Mandatory:

• Manual testing: Integration, system, regression and functional testing
• Functional requirements analysis/review
• Tests case/scenario's preparation
• Test design, planning, and reporting.
• Test case automation management

Desirable:

• Understanding software development lifecycle, quality assurance methodologies, best practices, and processes.
• Experience in the implementation of effective software testing methodologies and tools.

• Excellent communication skills, spoken and written English
• SQL, XML. JIRA, Confluence, qTest (or equivalent ticketing/wiki/Test Management tool)

Project objectives:

The Application Tester will perform quality assurance and software testing activities for new and existing projects being delivered in 2024. Testing projects include functional testing of new features and improvements for incremental product releases as well as integration testing of new services being developed as part of an IT modernization project (RSP):

Perform functional and regression testing of the eDossier application incremental release: 3.0.53, 3.0.54, 3.0.55

Assist in test analysis and integration testing of new services being developed as part of the RSP - Software Transformation project

Monitor results from automated regression suites and perform follow-up as necessary

Document test cases and results in qTest

Tasks:

Review business requirements and transform into test scenarios/cases

Build regression test cases for manual testing

Perform integration testing of RSP (modernisation/convergence) services/components

Perform functional testing

Detailed workload:

Detailed workload to be defined and agreed with project stakeholders. Examples of detailed workload include:

Work with other testers/business/system owners to assist in the identification of regression test cases for critical systems/production batches

Participate in functional requirement discussions

Assist in the test planning and test preparation for major releases of selected projects

Prepare test cases/test data/script development

Establish mechanisms for repeatable test execution of new regression suites

Prepare test documentation, results and reports

Record defects in JIRA and track to closure
