Job Description:

HTC Global seeks Application Programmers/Testers with strong SQL skills to provide application/testing support to the Customer.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a senior member of the Testing Team.
• Write complex SQL queries and data fixes to suppress records, change AsOfDate, and update and insert records.
• Create test cases and test strategies for defects and enhancements.
• Triage and test defects and enhancements.
• Provide mitigation plans (Business Impact and Workarounds)
• File and Database Validation (Interfaces, MES and etc.)
• Document infrastructure tasks in JIRA for flags and etc.
• Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team on stubbing.
• Coordinate with SIT and Offshore developers on logic.
• Individually meet and work with the client's management, program staff and test teams to determine enhancement and defect testing needs.
• Provide mentoring, technical assistance, and knowledge transfer to junior programmers.
• Serve as liaison between programmers, team leads, and Contractors.
• Review the work of junior programmers for assigned modules to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Weekend work may be required.
• Other tasks as determined by the IT Statewide Director.

Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:

• Minimum four (4) years of demonstrated experience writing complex SQL queries and working on testing teams.

Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:

• Working knowledge of JIRA.
• Experience in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) phases.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of SOAPUI.
• Knowledge of Automated Testing tools.
• Strong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to multi-task & support multiple priorities/multiple deliverables.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
