Apprentice Electrician

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical tasks, contributing to both residential and commercial projects, while developing essential skills in the field. Duties • Assist licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. • Learn to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to understand project requirements. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely, including voltmeters and ohmmeters, to perform electrical tasks. • Participate in troubleshooting electrical issues and conducting repairs as directed. • Gain knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards to ensure compliance during installations. • Support the team in frame carpentry tasks related to electrical installations. • Work on high voltage systems under supervision, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly. Requirements • Strong interest in pursuing a career as an electrician with a willingness to learn. • Basic understanding of electrical concepts; prior experience as a commercial or industrial electrician is a plus. • Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings is beneficial. • Ability to operate various power tools safely and effectively. • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods. • Must possess good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites. • Commitment to following safety protocols and regulations on all job sites.
