Apprentice Plumber

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and eager Apprentice Plumber to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start a rewarding career in plumbing and construction. The Apprentice Plumber will work under the guidance of experienced plumbers, gaining hands-on experience in various plumbing tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong willingness to learn and develop their skills in a dynamic work environment. Responsibilities • Assist licensed plumbers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems. • Learn to read and interpret blueprints and schematics related to plumbing layouts. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks. • Participate in construction site activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. • Assist with pipe threading, assembly, and installation of fixtures. • Support the team in performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on plumbing systems. • Gain experience in welding techniques as needed for specific projects. • Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including HVAC technicians and carpenters. Skills • Basic understanding of construction principles and practices. • Familiarity with construction plumbing techniques and tools. • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plumbing tasks. • Mechanical knowledge to assist in diagnosing plumbing issues. • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing installations. • Experience in field service or maintenance person roles is advantageous. • Knowledge of pipe threading techniques is a plus. • Willingness to learn about HVAC systems as they relate to plumbing work. • Previous construction site experience is preferred but not required.
