Architect (Java & AWS)

Technossus Architects act as technical leaders for our clients and within Technossus. You will work closely with our clients to explore their business challenges and construct solutions for them using your expertise and knowledge of current technologies and practices. This includes collaborating with delivery managers to assess work effort for a solution and working with highly skilled Technossus team members to design and develop cutting-edge solutions. The ideal candidate seeks out new learning opportunities, leads from the front, challenges the status quo, willing to accept new challenges, and builds other team members through technical and professional coaching. You will have a prescriptive, yet open and inclusive mindset to contribute to the success of our clients and the company culture.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate client business challenges and work with the team to arrive at the best-fit technology solution
• Design, document, and develop world-class applications leveraging the full spectrum of technologies and design patterns
• Collaborate with clients and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical requirements
• Assist with estimating work efforts required for each phase of a project
• Work on POC projects with cutting-edge technologies

• Mentor and inspire our more junior technical staff to teach them good habits and grow in their capabilities and careers.
• Build yours and Technossus’ brand by speaking what you know to public audiences, your growing personal network and social media.
• Demonstrate your technical leadership by example by maintaining a passion for your craft and a growth mindset that is visible and inspiring.

Technical Requirements:

• Broad and deep experience with Java and the Java ecosystem
• Several years of experience leading Enterprise Software Development initiatives at a technical level.
• High level of proficiency in Java and proficiency with 1-2 other programming Languages
• Experience with web development technologies such as Angular, Angular 2, NodeJS, REACT JS, HTML5, AtomPub, JSON, REST, CSS, and CMS
• Full Stack applications development experience

• Experience with Typescript
• Hands-on experience developing APIs and integrating them using orchestration platforms (API Management, Mulesoft, etc.)
• Deep experience with persistence technologies (SQL, NoSql, Graph, Edge) and adjacent tooling (ORMs, Performance Analysis, Documentation, etc.)
• Fluency with Agile development methodologies, Azure DevOps or BitBucket or Jenkins, Build and Configuration Management
• Deep working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP). The more the better!

• Familiarity & Working Knowledge of reporting platforms and analytics solutions are major benefits.

Benefits

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between $150,000.00 and $180,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus and benefits.
