Armed Security Captain
Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
β’ Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors while performingarmed supervisory security duties.
β’ Supervise and support assigned officers to ensure compliance withProsegur,client, andTexas Department of Public Safety β Private Security Bureau (DPS-PSB)regulations.
β’ Promote safety by identifying, reporting, and assisting in correcting potential hazards or unsafe conditions.
β’ Enforce post orders, company policies, and client-specific instructions with professionalism and integrity.
β’ Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and performance feedback to officers.
β’ Conduct patrols, inspections, and incident response to maintain site readiness and ensure officer accountability.
β’ Prepare accurate written reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation as required.
β’ Interact with clients, visitors, and employees in a professional, customer-service-oriented manner.
β’ Perform routine foot or vehicle patrols, moderate lifting, and work in various weather conditions as an Armed Security Captain.Additional Requirements:
β’ Must comply withProsegur,client, andTexas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Level IIIarmed security licensing regulations.
β’ Possess avalid/current Texas Level III Armed Security Licenseissued by DPS-PSB.
β’ Maintain an appropriatefirearm, holster, and duty gearin compliance with DPS standards.
β’ Completion of requiredLevel III classroom and firearms proficiency training.Qualifications:
Required
β’ Minimum21 years of age(per Texas DPS armed licensing requirements).
β’ High School Diploma or GED.
β’ Valid Level III (Commissioned) Security Licenseissued by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
β’ Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
β’ Valid driverβs license with an acceptable driving record.
β’ Ability to follow instructions, complete assigned tasks, and respond appropriately to incidents.
β’ Willingness to participate in a background check, drug screening, and licensing compliance process.
Preferred
β’ Priorsupervisory or leadership experiencein security, law enforcement, or a related field.
β’ Knowledge of security operations, emergency response, and post-order enforcement.
β’ Basic to intermediatecomputer skills(Microsoft Office, report systems, and incident tracking software).
