Starting Pay: $22.00 – $23.00 per hour (based on experience and performance) Hours: 40+ hours per week Shifts Available: Flexible availability  Full-Time Positions ONLY Position Overview: As an Armed Waterborne Security Officer at Six Maritime, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of U.S. Naval vessels and shipyard facilities. Key Responsibilities: -Provide waterside security for U.S. Naval vessels in shipyards -Enforce access control and prohibit unauthorized entry into sensitive areas -Utilize armed security protocols to protect personnel and assets -Respond to security incidents and conduct investigations as needed -Work collaboratively with a team to maintain a secure environment Note: This description provides a general overview. Requirements: - Minimum 21 years of age -High school diploma or GED -At least 1 year of verifiable security experience -Valid California Guard Card and Exposed Firearms Permit -Ability to pass a background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws -Successfully pass a drug screening (as permitted by law) -Meet all state/local licensing requirements before employment Preferred Qualifications: -5 years of security experience (strongly preferred) -CPR and First Aid certification -Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card Physical & Professional Qualifications:  Strong communication and interpersonal skills  Ability to lift at least 40 pounds  Must be able to swim  Physically fit, able to climb stairs and patrol on foot for extended periods  Proficiency in de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution  Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations  Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to variable work schedules Benefits: -Health, dental, and vision insurance -Paid time off (PTO) -Career advancement opportunities Interview Dress Code: -Business casual – Dress pants/skirt and a button-down shirt or blouse are recommended. -Location: San Diego, CA 92113 (In-person role; must have reliable transportation) Apply today and become part of a team dedicated to excellence in maritime security!
