The Role

We’re on the hunt for a meticulous and imaginative Art Director to join our vibrant team at Somnio. In this role you’ll harness established design systems and champion our creative processes to craft captivating customer experiences across digital platforms for all our esteemed clients. From conceptualizing digital and traditional experiences to producing engaging content like digital designs landing pages and user experiences (CX/UX) you’ll bring your best to every project adhering to industry best practices.

In addition to these exciting challenges you’ll also roll up your sleeves for some hands-on production work including the creation of impactful PowerPoints social media graphics and eye-catching infographics. This role promises a diverse portfolio of projects where you’ll sharpen your skills and contribute meaningfully to our clients’ triumphs. Your boundless creativity and infectious enthusiasm will play a pivotal role in crafting compelling visual narratives that deeply resonate with our audience.

We value adaptability and versatility as our projects range from branding to digital campaigns and occasionally include production tasks. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet expectations and ensure adherence to timelines and brand standards.

Please note: The position title is Art Director yet it deviates from the conventional Art Director role. This role is a hands-on involvement a focus on execution robust design proficiency and a proactive stance towards project fulfillment. Your reporting line will be to the creative lead supervising the project.

Day-To-Day Activities

• Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and develop innovative design solutions across various mediums.

• Assist in the creation of visual assets such as graphics illustrations layouts and prototypes aligning with project objectives and brand guidelines.

• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate ideas and contribute to the development of creative concepts and strategies.

• Present design concepts to senior team members or clients incorporating feedback and iterating on designs to achieve desired outcomes.

• Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and milestones proactively communicating any potential delays or challenges to Creative Lead and Digital Producer.

• Uphold high-quality standards in design deliverables through thorough reviews revisions and adherence to project specifications.

• Stay curious and committed to professional development by pursuing learning opportunities and expanding skills in design software and creative techniques.

• Maintain organized documentation of design iterations client feedback and project timelines to facilitate collaboration and project tracking.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in graphic design visual communication or a related field.

• Advanced proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.

• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• A portfolio is required for consideration.

• Marketing Agency Experience (Nice to Have).
