Art Director
Job Description
Hill House Home is searching for an art director to join our marketing team and work directly with our CEO across a wide variety of projects. As our Art Director, you will define and articulate Hill House Home’s visual language across multiple platforms through the medium of photography and video. In this position you will manage the full suite of content creation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and good at prioritization and time management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Creator of a strong and dynamic portfolio that showcases a wide array of experience across brand projects
- Able to effectively partner with various key stakeholders and manage multiple projects at once
- Interest in fashion, trends, and curiosity about evolving content mediums
- Experience with creative, production, product marketing and e-commerce teams to concept and execute seasonal campaigns and PDP shoots
- Exceptional conceptual, art, styling, and design fundamentals
- Ability to balance art and commercial—creating content that drives engagement and consumer desire while also keeping the brand at the forefront
- A deep understanding of digital content: ecommerce, editorial, social media, and video
- Ability to keep a pulse on the fashion and cultural zeitgeist including, but not limited to brand, casting, styling, content, and social relevance
- Demonstrable experience partnering with marketing, design, and merchandising teams
- Excited by and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving and entrepreneurial environment
- Team player with a “no task is too small” attitude
RESPONSIBILITIES
- In partnership with our CEO and marketing directors, the Art Director will concept all photo and video content for Hill House Home, including editorial, eCommerce, in-store, social media and advertising assets.
- Confidently lead the development and delivery of 360 content campaigns across multiple touch points.
- Collaborate with and other cross functional departments to create a range of brand content and campaign deliverables.
- Work with Creative Leadership to refine concept presentation documents, including but not limited to photo and video direction, graphic design, and third-party creative collaboration.
- Confidently lead a high volume of photo and video productions, interacting with internal and external partners with clarity and professionalism.
- Manage external parties, including contracted production support, photographers, stylists, talent sourcing partners, and set designers
- Help direct on set and selection of final images, work with marketing and design leads to ensure the right run on images and art requirements are shot
- Manage retouching to a high standard and taste level.
- Work with wider marketing team to develop processes that promote quality and manage workloads effectively, recommending more efficient, time saving methods when applicable
- Incorporate creative performance learnings into future photoshoots
- Manage two full time digital designers
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience working at a top-tier brand, brand agency, or creative agency
- Previous experience of team management in the creative environment.
- Proficiency with all standard creative programs.
- Embraces a culture of learning and advocacy
- Has lived experiences with people from different backgrounds and diverse teams
