To support Lucid’s rapid growth, we’re looking for a team-oriented Art Director to join the Brand Creative team. Reporting to a creative director, you’ll help us elevate our brand, work with stakeholders, and guide the design of marketing efforts for a specific product line and/or marketing channel.


Responsibilities:

  • Understand the strategy, values, audience, and functionality of our products
  • Expound upon our visual identity, while working towards a unified brand architecture
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization
  • Solve problems by engaging in thorough design processes
  • Drive brand consistency through the development of style guides and other brand management processes
  • Actively engage in hands-on design work
  • Partner with freelancers and/or in-house designers to accomplish large projects, providing direction and constructive feedback along the way
  • Maintain design integrity for marketing collateral, website imagery, nurture campaigns, ads, events, etc.
  • Partner with copywriters, video/motion team members, and web developers to execute creative projects

Requirements:

  • BFA/BA in design or related major, or combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Proven experience in generating creative ideas and concepts
  • Portfolio that displays a strong design aesthetic
  • Experience in designing for web, mobile, and print Detail focused, goal oriented, and well organized
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Experience pitching creative ideas, collaborating, and gathering buy-in from stakeholders
  • Ability to balance several projects at a time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An advanced understanding of typography and layout
  • Good use of composition, color, and white space Knowledge in motion design, illustration, or photography is a plus
  • A diverse range of projects with a strong focus on digital-based design
