The Marketing department is looking for an Art Director Intern to join their team in Eden Prairie, MN ! As an Art Director Intern you will assist in developing visual concepts under the guidance of the Creative Director. You will contribute to creative discussions, apply art direction principles, prepare and execute design files, foster a collaborative environment across teams, and stay at the forefront of design innovation and emerging technologies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of visual concepts under the guidance of the Creative Director and Associate Creative Directors of Design and Copy to execute against the artistic vision and creative strategy for projects, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business goals into compelling and visuals for various channels.
- Learn and apply art direction principles to design projects.
- Contribute to creative discussions and provide input on design concepts.
- Execute design concepts and adapt based on feedback and requirements.
- Ensure brand consistency in design and maintain consistency across all projects.
- Emerging skills and interest in motion graphics with the opportunity to explore motion concepting as a tactic.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Manage project files, assets, and outputs through to completion.
- Contribute to presentations, assist in articulating the creative vision effectively.
- Take direction, and feedback well to create work that meets the objective.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Entry-level experience in art direction or graphic design.
- Familiarity with design software and a strong willingness to learn.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to feedback and implement changes.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to design projects.
- Understanding of design principles and aesthetics.
- Flexibility and openness to feedback.
- Proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements:
Education: Working towards a degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, Fine Arts, or a relevant field of study with an expected graduation date of 2024, 2025, or 2026
Systems: Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Zoom
Internship Program Dates: May 20-August 9, 2024
Additional Requirements:
Managerial Responsibilities: None
Travel Requirements: Local travel may be required between Cambria locations
Physical Requirements: Office position requiring telephone and computer use. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds daily. Must be able to stand, bend and twist while performing service work.
