That brings us to you. Â
You're a highly conceptual freelance Art Director with a background in design, leading with ideas first. As a freelance Art Director, you’ll be accountable for both generating and executing bold creative ideas rooted in the overall strategy and helping direct how those ideas come to life.Â
Depending on projects, hours worked will range from 20-40 hours/week for the duration of about six months. You must be available during standard Eastern Time business hours. A link to your portfolio must be on your resume and/or submitted as part of your application – if applicable, provide the password to your portfolio. Â
What you’ll be doingÂ
- Concept assets for tradeshows, executing print deliverables such as booth design, swag, etc.Â
- Generate big creative ideas that grow business, meet client needs, and win awardsÂ
- Work with your CD and GCD, copywriters and ACD’s to fine-tune the ideas
- Help direct and execute the expression of those ideas across all experience media including brand acts, integrated campaigns, and broadcast.
- Present your ideas in a compelling way to internal audiences and clients
- Work with the production team to ensure your ideas are as powerful in reality as they were when pitched
- Collaborate effectively with the cross-functional team including your partners in strategy, account management, production, and resourcing
- Review briefs, schedules, and resourcing to ensure the project and team are set for success
- Take ownership of the creative product that leaves the office, continually critiquing the quality of all creative output and serve as brand steward for your accounts
- Lead by example to help develop and inspire junior talent
- Contribute to building the agency's reputation and relationships with clients
- Manages junior level creatives including training and the development of a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and innovative work environment that promotes creativity and innovationÂ

- 4+ years of overall creative experience Â
- Experience in the tradeshow space requiredÂ
- Working knowledge of 3D design is a plusÂ
- A strong creative background with a track record of delivering effective and outstanding creative workÂ
- Ample hands-on work experience (you are a “do-er”)Â
- Engaging presentation skills and a track record of successfully selling and executing strategic creative ideas
- An unmatched passion and energy for your craft, Jack Morton, and brand experience
- Most importantly—you take the work seriously, but not yourselfÂ
