About The Job
Dudek is seeking an on-call graphic designer to join our team in Encinitas, CA. Our Encinitas office spans coverage and support of various clients including military, municipalities, and commercial entities both local and international. Our projects provide our clients real-world environmental and infrastructure solutions, and we are seeking a senior graphic designer to elevate our deliverables and marketing materials to meet our client’s needs. We are passionate about developing innovative solutions and are looking for a forward-thinking innovator to join our team supporting a vast array of different opportunities and assisting different project teams while enhancing your knowledge about the AEC market and our various clients.
Working as part of our team, this position plays a strong supporting role for our project managers and technical professionals to take complex ideas and translate them into engaging marketing deliverables. This involves a team player that is involved with the planning, coordination, and development of a variety of deliverables to support of our clients’ needs. This ideal candidate will support these deliverables by designing and creating various types of visual aids and design elements, including maps, info graphics, presentations, advertisements, document covers, reports, brochures, organizational charts, newsletters, schematics, signs, posters, event materials, and websites and microsites. Additionally, this position may include an opportunity for other support roles.

Duties and Responsibilities (may include some or all of the below):

  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of various types of visual design for multiple projects.
  • Assist with designing and updating education and outreach materials.
  • Organize and process incoming data.
  • Organize and maintain project files, documents, and deliverables.
  • Prepare reports and other project deliverables.
  • Assist with other project requirements.
  • Formatting of various types of visual design in reports.


Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in science or related field.
  • Graduate coursework in graphic design or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Advanced skills with graphic and web design software packages including ACS (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure or deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to adapt and shift priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required.

* As a federal contractor, successful candidates are required to pass the following pre-employment requirements prior to beginning employment: pre - employment drug test and background check.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working for the federal government is a plus, including DoD, DHS, DLA, BLM, FEMA and the EPA.

Working Conditions:

  • This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
  • This job requires occasional project site visits-based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, moving vehicles and equipment.

  • This job requires working on a computer, sitting or standing for long periods of time in an office or remote office setting.

Proposed Salary Range: $65-$70 hourly*
*Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
