Job Summary: 
The  Assessor Program Supervisor is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor Supervisor (LADC) Assessor. They are responsible for conducting assessments, coordinating assessor programs, and providing supervision and mentoring for the ADC-T and LADC team for the Assessment Team. This role involves quality assurance monitoring, chart auditing and quality improvement plans, when needed, for the assessor. This role conducts comprehensive assessments to determine the appropriate level of care and treatment needs, and coordinating treatment plans. The  Assessor Program Supervisor also collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality and individualized care and the oversight of the LADC’s.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments as needed, for individuals with substance use disorders to determine treatment needs, level of care, and appropriate interventions. 
  • Coordinate and Monitor Assessment Program, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and compliance with regulatory standards and quality parameters. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, and related client information in compliance with legal and ethical standards. 
  • Oversee and manage the LADC team at IOP/OP as the Program Manager.
  • Stay current with advancements in the field of substance use disorder treatment, participating in professional development activities and continuing education opportunities. 
  • Conduct outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness about substance use disorders and available treatment options within the community. 
  • Serve as a resource for clients and their families, providing support, education, and referrals to additional services as needed. 
  • Program Coordination including support of our Assessment Program’s hiring, training and ongoing mentoring for the team. 
  • Weekly supervision, as outlined for compliance, of the ADC-T assessors. 
  • Monthly Supervision of LADC’s in accordance with DHS requirements. 
  • Quality reviews, chart auditing and ongoing monitoring of the Assessor Team’s visits.
  • Coordination with the Revenue Operations team to obtain funding for any non-insured clients to ensure revenue is obtained for all assessments. 

Continuing Education and Training  

  • Stay current regarding professional research, techniques, etc.
  • Complete continuing education courses in current treatment concepts and methods as required by the State of Minnesota to maintain Alcohol and Drug Counselor license. 
  • Attend in-house training and staff meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by clinical management, such as, ADC-T Supervision requirements

Work Schedule:  

This is a full-time role that may be completed remotely 90% of the time within the community. Hours will vary depending on the patient needs but generally are expected to be standard business hours of 8am-5pm. In-person meetings with leadership staff are required; monthly and on an as-needed basis.

Required Education, Experience & Other Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor Supervisor (LADC-S) in accordance with state regulations, verifying you meet both educational background, supervised experience as well as examination prerequisites. 
  • Possession and maintenance of a current, valid Driver's License with reliable  transportation to commute onsite the MN based SUD Program for the standard work hours as  described above.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, such as counseling, psychology, social work, or addiction studies. 
  • Proven experience conducting substance use disorder assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches and interventions for substance use disorders. 
  • Excellent counseling and therapeutic skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build a therapeutic alliance with clients. 
  • Understanding of legal and ethical considerations in substance use disorder treatment and the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional guidelines. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. 
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other relevant software applications. 
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on best practices in the field. 

Computer Skills:  

  • Effective and/or advanced use of software applications including Google Suite, MS Office including Excel, Electronic Health Records, Slack, etc.

Compliance Training (Employee will be provided with training upon hire)

Failure to maintain required compliance and quality support can result in discipline, up to and including termination.

While performing the duties of this job, the Assessor Program Supervisor is regularly required to sit. The Assessor Program Supervisor must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
