Assistant Account Executive, Consumer

The Overview:

R&CPMK’s Los Angeles office has a phenomenal opportunity for an Assistant Account Executive to support our agency’s largest account: McDonald’s. The team is collaborative, energetic, and hard-working, and we are seeking a new team member to complement that dynamic.

The Fine Print:

• Lead monitoring the news, trends, pop culture and what’s happening on social
• Assist in developing press materials, including media lists, pitches, press releases, etc.
• Perform daily account management duties, including reporting, facilitating media requests, meeting scheduling and developing agendas
• Actively participate in team meetings, brainstorms and client calls/meetings
• Assist with special events, when applicable
• Opportunity for advancement and growth and ideally views public relations as career path with a desire to lean into community partnerships, media relations and programming

The Needs:

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant public relations experience, preferably at an agency.
• Have some experience targeting media, pitching and placing stories with all forms of press
• Self-starter and who is creative and willing to work hard to get ahead
• Interest and passion for working on a global brand
• Willingness to learn
• Self motivation and passion for the work
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Requires strong organization skills and keen attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Google Drive, Muckrack, Cision, Critical Mention
• Familiar with media platforms Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok

Salary: $40,000.00- $45,000.00 annually
