Assistant Account Executive, Corporate Reputation
Job Description
Edelman is seeking a Seattle-based Assistant Account Executive to join its Corporate Reputation team, working on a global food & beverage client. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, a problem solver at heart, and has strong media relations and storytelling skills. Experience in food & beverage, social impact communications, media relations, and/or crisis is a plus.

You’ll be an integral part of a team supporting one of Edelman’s largest accounts, working with experts across offices and building a portfolio that spans your interests and passions in Corporate Reputation.
Responsibilities:
- Showcasing a deep understanding of client business through monitoring of daily coverage, including industry competitors, assisting with compilation of client and industry media coverage reports
- Preparing and proofreading client materials, specifically pitches, product key messages, fact sheets, talk tracks, media briefing documents, and more
- Building and fostering ongoing relationships with key media for clients, inclusive of conducting media outreach and follow-up in alignment with pitch calendar and agile opportunities
- Demonstrating a general knowledge of social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
- Demonstrating an understanding of the social media industry, influencer marketing, and basic principles of community engagement
- Demonstrating behaviors consistent with Edelman’s values and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
- Supporting with client service administration including notetaking in meetings, developing client agendas and recaps, preparing client status and activity reports, participating in brainstorms, scheduling, and team logistics
Basic Qualifications:
- This is an entry-level position. At least 0-6 months of relevant internship experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidates should demonstrate an interest in and understanding of the communications marketing industry and basic principles of integrated communications marketing.Â
- Interested in Corporate Communications public relations role, working across social impact, corporate reputation, issues/crisis, and creative media storytelling programs
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written and oral communication skills
- Ability to problem solve, adapt to new conditions, deadlines, and assignments
- Demonstrates strong work ethic and the ability to provide quality work to clients and teamsÂ
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
